Appointed as Utility Meter Verifier

UMVS has been apointed as a Utility Meter Verifier for Electricity Meters by the National Measurement Institute effective from the 1st of April 2021.
Effective the 31st of March 2021, UMVS can now issue NATA endorsed reports for Wh and Varh calibrations.
We are very happy to have been able to achieve a very respectable level of least uncertainty thanks to some innovation in our testing and reporting process.
Our scope of accreditation is for Calibration and Measurement Capability of –
Watt-hour meters at 50 Hz across power factors 1.0 to 0.5 leading and lagging currents
0.03% / cos Φ for currents from less than 20 mA and voltages from 63.5 V AC to 240 V AC
0.02% / cos Φ for currents from 20 mA to 100 A and voltages from 63.5 V AC to 240V AC
Var-hour meters at 50 Hz across power factors 1.0 to 0.5 leading and lagging
0.04% / sin Φ for currents from 50 mA to 100 A and voltages from 63.5 V AC to 240V AC
From the 1st of August 2020, UMVS will be operating from our new offices, Unit 3, 21 Enterprise Street, Cleveland.
We hope to have the laboratory up and running with traceability to Australian national standards by the end of August 2020!
